SARAH PIANO — SENIOR DIRECTOR, NORTHERN NM

Sarah was raised in Gallup, New Mexico, since she was eight years old, and she loves the blend of culture and beauty that New Mexico offers. Sarah has a background in fund development and public relations working for both Rehoboth Hospital and the City of Gallup. She joined Big Brothers Big Sisters in 2008. Sarah has been a big sister twice to two amazing young ladies. She was matched with her first little sister for six years and with her second little sister for two years and is still in contact with both of them.

Sarah’s favorite part about her job is getting to meet and develop new relationships with people every day and knowing that she is making a difference. In her non-work life, Sarah enjoys playing on a city soccer league, being involved in her church, traveling, and spending time with her husband and two rambunctious dogs.

MARINA YBARRA — DIRECTOR OF PHILANTHROPY OPERATIONS

Marina is a native New Mexican from Santa Fe. She started her career as a special events and wedding coordinator, after which she joined the non-profit world via SWAIA Santa Fe Indian Market, first as a development associate and then as the membership and volunteer coordinator. She has been working with BBBS for over six years.
